Tripar Ornament Stands #3

Most of my ornament stands has two numbers in the description. One is the overall height of the stand and then there is a number for hanging height.
For example:::
Twisted Wire Ornament Stands #34100  Small  5-1/2"h with 2-3/4" diameter base and 4" hanging height
This stand is 5-1/2" high. A good hanging height is what you need to be concerned about. For example if you have a 2" ornament and it has a hanger on it you would measure how far including the hanger part it hangs down. You may have a fancy extender on your ornament and then you would have to include that extra length also. Now you know exactly the hanging height of your ornament... lets say in this case 3"....OK if you know how far your ornament hangs down you look at the hanging height of the ornament. In the above case it is 4".  From where you hang your ornament , your ornament would extend down the 3" and you would have about 1-1/4 to 1-1/2" below that.. There is a slight variance because in the hanging height it gives a little leeway so your ornament won't hit the table when you hang it. This also gives you an idea how the stand will look with your ornament before you buy it.
If we go back to the 2" ornament....Most people would not like a 2" ornament with a stand that has a 10" hanging height.....In this case the ornament would look too small on such a large stand.
Hope this helps!
